Meet your Captain
Hi, I’m george
I’ve been fly fishing since I was twelve, and it’s taken me from mountain streams to saltwater flats — but it’s the coastal waters of Rhode Island that I now call home. I’m a Coast Guard-certified captain and former commercial fisherman, with decades of experience guiding anglers and running charters.
For years, I was co-owner of the Ascension Bay Lodge in Punta Allen, Mexico, where I spent my days chasing bonefish, tarpon, and permit. These days, I’m focused on offering small, personalized fishing charters here in Rhode Island — chasing striped bass, false albacore, and other local species on both fly and conventional gear.
Whether you’re an experienced angler or picking up a rod for the first time, I enjoy teaching and creating a relaxed, welcoming experience on the water. Conservation and sustainable fishing practices are central to how I operate, and I aim to leave both fish and people better off after every trip.
If you’re looking for a day that’s grounded in skill, filled with good energy, and rooted in a deep respect for the ecosystem — I’d love to have you on board.
